Motorola Electrify M - another new product announced

Today, Motorola, which, as we recall, is a division of Google, introduced another new product - the communicator Motorola Electrify M. This smartphone is the logical continuation of the original model Electrify , but its main feature will be support networks LTE, but it will be designed for the American market.

In addition to supporting the fourth generation of cellular networks, Electrify M receives a 4.3-inch display with a very thin bezel, dual-core processor with a clock speed of 1.5 GHz, a rear camera 8 MP, front camera of 1.3 MP, support NFC and battery capacity 2000 mAh. The body of the device will be protected from scratches and moisture (bathing, of course, it is still not worth it).

The device will work under Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, but, according to the manufacturer, the upgrade to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is not long to wait. And these words can be trusted - because Google supports their communicators not less than 2 years.

Motorola Electrify M will be sold with a two year contract and the price after rebeyta (discounts on the manufacturer) of $ 100 will be $ 99.99 for parts of the U.S. to support LTE, or $ 149.99 for the parts of America without networks 4 generations.

  •

Capture twice the picture with the ultra-wide-angle front camera lens.

How many times have you wanted to take a picture of you and your friends in front of somewhere cool, but the photo just captures your head and nothing of the background. Or, you don’t really get your friends in the shot, either. Get more people in the shot, including you! Now, easily fit more people in the shot with an exclusive 88° ultra-wide-angle front camera that captures nearly triple the area of most other front cameras. Iconic design.

The 8X provides a simple, human feel combined with an innovative, unique unibody construction resulting in a phone with a perfectly sculpted, continuous form, without bumps or protrusions – and for the camera, the buttons are completely flush with the body, adding to the iconic design aesthetic.

Amplified by Beats Audio™

The 8X has a dedicated amp built right into the phone, so it pumps more power to your headphones than ever. Plus, Beats Audio is coming to Windows phones for the first time ever. Take that combination and transform your listening pleasure with deeper bass, crisper vocals and detailed high notes for music, games, movies and videos.

    Windows Phone 8X Specs :

Build and design

Measuring in at 10.12mm thick the 8X is substantially less slender than the One X (8.9mm) but manages to weigh in at the same 130g as HTC’s flagship Android device. Available in California Blue, Graphite Black, Flame Red and Limelight Yellow, the 8X seems to share more design characteristics with the Nokia Lumia 920 than it does with current One Series offerings which HTC claims is more based on the pillow-like design of Windows Live Tiles.

Screen

Brandishing a 4.3-inch LCD 2 HD touchscreen display with 1280 x 720 resolution, the 8X should serve up 720p HD image and video quality. Lightweight but durable Gorilla Glass should protect the screen from being roughed up during the day, and to battle glare and reflection issues, optical lamination has been includes so watching video or browsing in on the web shouldn’t be an issue.

Camera

Following in the footsteps of the Android-powered One X, the 8X features an 8-megapixel camera with auto focus and LED flash and a BSI sensor which along with the f/2.0 aperture and 28mm lens should snap great pictures in low-light conditions. HTC’s dedicated Image Chip will help deliver slick snaps and ramp up the focus speed, while 1080p HD video recording with stereo sound should take care of mobile movies.
For video chatting enthusiasts, the 2.1-Megapixel front-facing camera is capable of full HD video recording and also sports a f/2.0 aperture which combines with the ultra-wide-angle lens and HTC ImageChip comfortable should make it one of the best front-facing snappers around.

Connectivity

On the connectivity front you can expect Wi-Fi dual antenna (2.4 & 5GHz) to keep reception strong, with a Bluetooth 2.1 support and NFC capabilities on board as well. The micro-USB 2.0 port should open the possibility for hooking up additional accessories while it’s worth noting that you’ll need to have a Micro SIM packed in the back to start making calls.

Beats Audio

Reaping the rewards of HTC’s partnership with Beats Audio, built-in amplifiers and speaker should deliver the superior sound while the 3.5mm audio jack should allow you to plug in most headphones that you can get your hands on. If you opt not to use the ones thrown in the box of course.

Battery and processor

Powering the 8X will be a Qualcomm® S4 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, which will also power the 8S and the Nokia Lumia 920. 1GB of RAM will help to deliver in the multitasking department, while a 1,800 mAh battery should hopefully keep your handset juiced up throughout the day.

Windows Phone 8

Of course the 8X will become HTC’s flagship Window Phone 8 handset and amongst some of the features to expect, you will be able to use Live Tiles on the home screen which will display information such as missed calls and text messages, customization of Internet Explorer and the ability to take screen shots.

It has also become known, and other characteristics that are fully met our expectations. Of course, the internal memory is not so much, but the microSD slot is all about. Judge for yourself:

LG Optimus G has more battery life than Samsung Galaxy S3

LG Optimus G, and Samsung Galaxy S III have the same battery capacity , 2100 mAh. But, according to the company LG, its battery has a higher density units and improved chemical composition, compared to standard solutions, which in theory allows us to achieve better results in the offline. And, as you can see from the title, this is true.

This time the device compared to other indicators, but also in the same conditions. On smartphones was set brightness 50% and batteries were charged up to 100%. As a result of the device from LG has worked 15.8 hours of talk time, and the flagship of Samsung - just 9.5 hours. As we can see, the difference is significant. In addition, tests were performed on the recording and playback of video. Optimus G worked in these modes, 3.8 and 7.9 hours, respectively, and the Galaxy S III - 2,8 and 7,3 hours. Here, the difference is smaller, but still significant.

Well, LG has really achieved its goal and improve the built-in battery in the Optimus G not in vain. Another thing is that usually when choosing a smartphone buyers pay attention to the characteristics and the manufacturer, not on the battery life. But the iron of the communicator LG is as good as a smartphone from Samsung, so maybe some people will choose Optimus G because of a great power.

Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini is coming soon

Samsung has confirmed that it will unveil a smaller version of the popular Galaxy S III smartphone tomorrow.

Speaking to Korean media this morning, Samsung mobile chief JK Shin said that Samsung will lift the lid on a 4-inch version of the Android-powered smartphone on Thursday, a week after the smartphone maker sent out invitations to a launch event.

Hinting at the device's name, Shin said: "There's a lot of demand for a 4-inch screen device in Europe. Some may call it an entry-level device, but we call it 'mini'."

Shin did not reveal any additional details of the device -- such as pricing and availability -- ahead of tomorrow's launch, however. According to The Verge, the downsized Galaxy S3 will not be an entry-level device, suggesting that it will pack the very same features as its larger, 4.8-inch sibling.
According to German technology site MobileGeeks, meanwhile, the mini smartphone will have a screen resolution of 800x480 pixels, along with a rear 5-megapixel camera. It is believed that a 1GHz dual-core STE U8420 chip will power the Galaxy S3 mini and feature 16GB of flash memory with an expandable MicroSD card.

The battery is understood to be, at 1,500 mAh, a lower specification than that of the larger model, but is offset by the smaller processor and less battery-intensive display. The German technology site also claimed that the smaller Samsung smartphone will include the latest version (4.1) of Android, nicknamed Jelly Bean.

AppleInsider argues that the new Galaxy S3 mini "falls well short" of the iPhone 5, based on the specifications. The iPhone 5 boasts a resolution of 1,136x640 pixels and an 8-megapixel rear camera.
However, the Galaxy S3 mini may outshine the iPhone 5 in some areas, with rumored near-field communications (NFC) capability for contactless payments.

Samsung sold 20 million Galaxy S3 smartphone in the first 100 days after its launch, and had notched up double the sales of its Galaxy S2 predecessor after five months.

Sony Xperia T - A 4.6-inch Android smartphone - Review

With just two announcements at CES and two more at Mobile World Congress, Sony hasn't exactly buried us in new smartphones this year. But considering that the company enjoys big showcase events at tech trade shows, we also weren't surprised that it used IFA to introduce a few more.

Joining the Xperia Tablet S on the Berlin stage were the new Xperia T, V, and J Android handsets. Though the devices look largely alike, they run the gamut in power and features, with the T out in front, the V in the middle, and the J bringing up the rear. As such, it's the T that's the most exciting of the three and the one I'll talk about here. Oh, and by the way, Sony played a clip from the upcoming James Bond movie "Skyfall" when presenting the Xperia T. No, the phone won't open a safe or shoot a poison dart, but it will play a starring role in Daniel Craig's hand.

Design
On the outside, the Xperia T breaks from recent devices like the Xperia P, Xperia U, and Xperia S (you have to wonder if Sony will eventually hit all the letters of the alphabet) by ditching the lighted band at the bottom of the handset. In fact, it's more akin to the Xperia Ion, but it's just a vague resemblance.

As simple as it is, the candy bar phone has a trim profile with clean lines and slightly rounded corners. It won't stand out in a crowd, but it's not unattractive. The 4.6-inch HD Reality display runs on Sony's Mobile Bravia Engine. I haven't held it in my hands personally, but CNET's team on the ground in Berlin reports that it's sharp and crystal-clear. And from the photos that CNET's Stephen Shankland shot, it certainly looks that way.

Otherwise, there's not much to say about the Xperia T's style, though I may feel differently once I get it in my hands. I'm just hopeful that a high-end phone like this will come in aluminum rather than plastic. It will be available in black, silver, and white versions.

Features
Inside there's a bigger story to tell. The star attraction will no doubt be the 13-megapixel camera with 1080p HD video recording and a second 720p HD front-facing shooter. Sony says that the camera will be able to go from sleep to snap mode in just over a second. Other features include a media player, PlayStation certification, and the ability to connect to an Xperia TV Dock for viewing photos and videos on an HDMI-enabled television.

The promised near-field communication (NFC) features should also win some fans, provided that you have other NFC devices. Though mobile payments have developed as a popular NFC implementation, the Xperia T also will focus on wirelessly transferring media back and forth. As CNET UK's Rich Trenholm describes it, a pairing with NFC-enabled speakers could be one use. By pairing the handset with a set of Sony speakers you can play music on the speakers without a wired connection. Also read Rich's post for some awesome James Bond puns.

Deep inside there's a respectable 1.5GHz dual-core processor to keep things running. Sony says it will deliver "improved battery life, fast performance, and ultrasharp graphics," but we'll have to see how it fares for ourselves. The Android OS is 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich, though the company says it will be upgraded to Android version 4.1 Jelly Bean following launch. That's all we've got, so I trust that Sony will keep its users in mind when planning that schedule.

Outlook
Sony's recent crop of handsets have been hit or miss. Brian Bennett liked the Xperia S, for example, but the Xperia Ion and Xperia P weren't quite as hot. Still, NFC and the high-powered camera (provided it takes good shots) warrant a closer look.

Fortunately, the device also offers more power and a more updated Android OS than its immediate predecessors, and there's that eye-popping display (pretty screens are a typical Sony trademark). So, yes, the device holds some promise, but there's no escaping the fact that it will face heavy Android competition from the likes of HTC, Motorola, and Samsung. So besides ensuring that the Xperia T will perform well, Sony also needs to get to enough carriers, including one in the United States, and give it a reasonable price (no more than $199 with service). Note that in some markets Xperia T will be known as Xperia TX.
